What would the world be with out education? I am incredibly blessed to have had the education that I have in my life. I went to good schools and got into a fantastic university. I have had the most amazing three and some years of learning. I changed my major three times and had the chance to take courses that could potentially lead me to a better career. Now I am experiencing university in another country. I see the differences daily. My education would not have been the same if had I chosen to stay in Arkansas. This term is half way over and I'm finding myself learning things that I would not have learned. Essex has pushed me to my limits and beyond. As a senior in college I thought that I had conquered university. I'm graduating in may, and I can't help but feel like I still have so much left to learn. I love all of my courses, and I feel as if my professors really believe in me and the work I could accomplish. They push me to test my limits and be a better student. There is a type of education in everything you do at Uni. There is a lesson in every experience you have. You can learn something from every person you meet. Being an international student in a country that is so different from your own it teaches you to live on your own, to try and make friends with everyone you meet, and soak up every experience you have (the good and the bad). I love life in Colchester and I love being apart of the Essex family. The things I learn and experience here will last me a life time. |
